Objective:   Identify, explain, analyze, and determine meaning from text Benchmark:  RL.9.10.1 Cite strong and thorough evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. SL.9-19.1 Present information, findings, and supporting evidence clearly, concisely, and logically so listeners can follow the line of reasoning and the organization, development, substance, and style are appropriate to purpose, audience, and task. The lesson is aimed at helping students “improve oral and written communication, active listening skills, researching skills, and study skills.” Essential Question:  How can context clues reveal the meaning of unfamiliar words? Higher Order Question:  What does the word _____ mean as used in the sentence/excerpt? Resources:  Power Plus SAT book

• Study for your Sat #2 Test. 

The SAT #2 test will be given for 3B Monday, Oct. 14, and 2A & 4A Thursday, Oct. 17.  That is your Exam day for this class.  You will not be given a 1^st quarter Exam in this class.

• PSAT will be administered Wednesday, Oct. 16.
• CGA tests will be administered Thursday & Friday, Oct. 17 & 18.
